Accountants in Stoke-on-Trent

We are tax specialists with experience in practice and industry and are registered with The Chartered Institute of Taxation as a firm of Chartered Tax Advisers.

We are a young team of tax specialists and accountants in Stoke-on-Trent who are passionate about what we do and are proactive in our approach. We will work closely with you to understand your business, your needs and understand what you want to get out of your business.

We constantly look for ways to save you tax and advise you throughout the year of ways to achieve this. Whether that is choosing the best accounting policy for you or choosing the best time to buy your capital assets. We will look to see if the business is structured in the best possible way to reduce your tax bill, to reduce your risk, to protect your assets and to extract money from the business.

We have a large network of contacts with different specialisms and can draw on these where appropriate. We have close links to agencies in the Engineering Sector throughout the UK and provide specialist advice to those who contract in industries such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water and also Offshore. Whether you want to be put in touch with a recruitment agency, book keeper, independent financial advisor or a mortgage broker, we can arrange this for you.

We will not use jargon or ‘blind you with science’. We will explain things in plain English, so that everyone understands.

For fully serviced packages we charge an annual amount, which we will arrange with you to be paid over twelve equal installments. The price will be fixed and agreed with you in advance. This enables you to better plan you cash flow and ensures there are no nasty surprises at the end of the year.

We also offer our services at an hourly rate, which we use for ad-hoc advisory services. Depending on the complexity of the issue, the hourly rate may change if a more senior member of the team is required. We will discuss this with you beforehand and give you a quote if required. If this is a large or lengthy piece of work we can arrange for our fee to be paid in installments, again this will be discussed with you in advance.

To contact us for a quote or just a chat about what we can do for you, please see our contact us page for details on how to contact us.

Meet Emily – Director

After sitting my A Levels I decided I wanted to work full time whilst gaining further qualifications, rather than going to University. I started full time employment at the age of 18 in the tax department of a national accountancy practice. While working in the department I gained my accountancy and tax qualifications and a whole lot of experience! I have worked in the personal tax and corporate tax departments; and also did a stint in the accounts department, mainly preparing management accounts. I have since gone onto advise on corporate restructures, research and development claims, specialist capital allowances and various issues in HMRC Tax Enquiries. I am committed and passionate about what I do and enjoy working closely with our clients. My personal passion is my car and car racing – although I never race my car. On a weekend you’ll most likely find me watching the banger racing.

I have extensive experience of preparing year end accounts, VAT, business & personal tax, management accounts & bookkeeping, payroll and the workplace pension and dealing with HM Revenue and Customs and Companies House on both routine matters and complex enquiry cases. Meet Sharon – Personal Tax Assistant

I have spent the last 17 years working in personal tax with mainly sole traders. This means I have in-depth knowledge of the tax legislation that affects sole traders and can give expert guidance on what expenses they can claim for and how to maximise their tax efficiency. I build very close relationships with my clients and go the extra mile to ensure that they receive the best service possible. It is important to me that clients feel comfortable to approach me about anything that they feel unsure about and help to navigate them through the complex personal tax system.

Meet Jordan – Client Co-Ordinator

After leaving school I went to Newcastle Under Lyme College and chose to do a Business course. As I progressed through the course I soon realised that the Accounting pathway was for me, therefore I chose to take the Accounting pathway in year 2. I finished my course with D*D*D*.  Originally I was unsure whether to further develop my studies and go to University or to do an apprenticeship, I soon knew doing an apprenticeship would be more beneficial for me in learning the correct ways while gaining experience in the industry.

I am now part of a strong and growing team at Premier Tax Solutions whilst studying Level 3 AAT. I have recently completed my Xero software training and look forward to completing my Level 3 exams later in the year and progressing further to expand my knowledge. I look forward to gaining strong relationships with clients to make sure they have all the relevant knowledge and aren’t in the complete unknown. I am friendly and approachable and will always go the extra mile to secure success.
